  1. In a large saucepan, whisk soup mix with 3 cups (750 mL) cold water and 1 cup (250 mL) milk. Bring to a boil over moderately high heat, whisking constantly.
  2. Reduce heat, cover partially and simmer gently 5 minutes, whisking occasionally. Makes 4 servings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the galley Although Cream of Leek was the first Knorr soup I tried, this review can extend to all of them. I own a sailboat with a very small galley (kitchen). I was first attracted by the ease of preparation of the soup. If we are underway most crew don't want to spend to much time below making lunch. If you can boil water, you can make soup and on those cold days it hits the spot. My favourite trick is to keep some self rising flour in the galley and once the soup has come to a boil, mix some flour in a mug and add a small amount of water. The dough can be added to the soup one teaspoon full at a time. Just let is sit covered for 5 minutes. Yes, I just made dumplings so the soup becomes a one dish meal for captain and crew
