Hoisin Beef with Sweet Peppers and Sugar

Ingredients

175 mL Knorr Beef Bouillon 3/4 cup
50 mL hoisin sauce 1/4 cup
15 mL cornstarch 1 tbsp
10 mL dark sesame oil 2 tsp
30 mL minced ginger 2 tbsp
3 garlic cloves, minced 3
pinch cayenne
20 mL vegetable oil 4 tsp
375 g top sirloin beef, cut into thin finger-size strips 3/4 lb
1 each: red and yellow pepper, cut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) pieces 1
3 green onions, cut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) pieces 3
125 g sugar snap or snow peas, trimmed 1/4 lb

Directions

Stir bouillon with hoisin, cornstarch, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and cayenne until cornstarch is dissolved.

Heat half the oil in a large wide saucepan or wok over medium-high. Add half the beef, stir-fry until no longer pink then remove to a bowl. Stir-fry remaining beef, then remove to bowl.

Heat remaining oil over medium-high, stir-fry peppers and green onions 1 minute. Add sugar snap peas and stir-fry 2 minutes. Return beef to pan then bouillon mixture. Stir continuously until thickened, about 1 minute. Serve over rice.
